For Whom The Bell Tolls

I STARTED FISHING ALMOST 77 YEARS AGO SO you can imagine the changes and funny things that I've seen happen during that time. I promise you, every word of all the stories I've told are true.

For instance, a pal of mine Byron Barawitzca (no longer with us) and I decided to fish Blyth pier in Northumberland. It was New Year’s Eve and it was snowing heavily.

We got to the wooden pier about 10pm when there was at least a foot of snow on the ground. We got as far the gate (in those days you couldn't get past it) and tackled up.
