By the time you read this we'll be approaching the mid-point of 2021. I have no idea where the past five months have gone.

IPMS UK Getting There
The days and weeks just seem to have morphed into a timeless episode and it's not helped by working almost permanently from home since March 2020. On the one hand it's great that I've been able to continue working full time, unlike many others who haven't had that luxury.

However, the downside is that I spend far too much time sat at the same desk, in the same office, whether I'm earning a living or pursuing my hobby. The line between 'work' and 'home' has long since become blurred and I am looking forward to being able to return to the office on a regular basis so that I can rebuild that essential separation between the two halves of my life.

Having my hobby bench back will be a great relief. At the moment, I have to clear the bench every evening so that I can use my office laptop the following day. I'm used to leaving whatever modelling project I'm working on at the time on my desk until the next time I sit down to work on it. Clearing the chaos every night has probably helped my tidiness in the long run but it's not helped my focus – oh, I have a clear desk. Let's start yet another project...
