Tell us about your musical journey. How has the industry treated you so far?

The people that I’ve worked with have been really supportive, and it’s been a learning experience for me so far. I’m sure it’s always going to be this way.

Your song, Dilbar, was the first Hindi language song to enter the Billboard Top Ten, how does it feel to have achieved this breakthrough at such a young age?

Dilbar was my second playback track, and this was a huge milestone. I felt really proud that it was on the Billboard Top Ten. Of course, there were other artists like Neha ma’am and Nora who greatly contributed to the success of the song, and Tanishk Bagchi, who made the remake.

While singing the song, did you expect it to be such a huge hit?

I think we all knew it in a way that as soon as it is released, it would be a rage. The track done by Tanishk Bagchi was a chartbuster. I was very lucky to have sung it, and it featured Nora, so it had to do well.

Since everything is going digital, how do you perceive YouTube as a platform for singers to showcase their talent?
