This Mother's Day, Bond Over Yoga with Your Little One.
Food & Health|May 2020
A mother bird builds the foundation for her young to rest on so that they can plant their roots, feeling happy and safe to freely explore the environment around them. She gives them the courage to spread their wings and take flight of their own free will. Similarly, children need to discover the world on their own. Telling them to think harder, do it better, or be a certain way because it's good for them may not always help. Instead, provide an opportunity for everyone to create, express themselves, and grow together.
This Mother's Day, Bond Over Yoga with Your Little One.

If you are looking for creative ways to bond with your child, Partner Yoga may be a great option. When they stretch like a dog, balance like a flamingo, breathe like a bunny, or stand strong and tall like a tree, they begin to understand the reverence for life and the principle of interdependence becomes apparent. Guide your children while simultaneously opening your heart and letting them guide you. They'll no doubt invite you into a boundless world of wonder and exploration.

This Mother’s Day, celebrate the day with some asanas, as you connect with them, engage their minds and deepen their awareness. So unroll a mat for you and your kiddo, and check out these yoga poses you can do together.

BACK-TO-BACK BREATHING

How amazing it feels to connect your breath, your life force! Sit back-to-back, close your eyes, quiet down and breathe together. Once you get settled, your breath will synch naturally; feel each other’s inhale as your backs expand into one another, and the release of your exhales. Stay here for 3-5 minutes; It’s a great way to teach children to sit quietly and pay attention to their breath.

WARM-UP TWIST

Twists feel great – but the best part of this one is figuring out your hands!
