Relaxing on the couch, eating your dinner from a bowl and watching a few episodes of your favourite TV show can be just what you need to help you unwind after a long day, or a way to spend time with your partner and family. But if every night is spent in front of the telly, a change to your routine is probably a good idea, even if it’s just one evening a week. There is also evidence that suggests too much time in front of the goggle box can reduce positive emotional states, and new research from the UK has highlighted that binge-watching TV could even lead to cognitive decline in language and memory over time. If you want to cut down on TV time, but are scratching your head for things to do instead, here are some ideas to spur you on:
