To-Do List

You want to build serious mass. You want to get “forklift” strong. But are you doing the right exercises you should be performing in order to maximize your results? We all can get stuck in a rut doing our favorite exercises: the ones we’re strong at and the ones that feel good. However, staying too focused on just a narrow selection of favorite exercises is holding you back from achieving your true best physique. These five exercises will help unlock that potential.

Don’t Fear The Beard

Dan Zigler is a trainer, natural physique competitor, and an ambassador for Gains In Bulk, a direct-to-consumer supplement line that undergoes some of the strictest testing on the market.

Iron Man: How did you get involved with Gains In Bulk?

Dan Zigler: I got involved with them through natural bodybuilding. I spoke with them at the Team USAs, and then at the Natural Olympia we really sat down together. They focus a lot of effort on promoting the natural athlete.

IM: What attracted them to you?

DZ: The beard, man [laughs]. Well, I m sure the beard is what got their attention. In the competition world, you don’t see too many guys who have beards, and I had the physique to go with it. And when we got down to talking, we really hit it off. They are very genuine people.

IM: What do you like about them?

DZ: I love the fact that they are third-party tested—it is a necessity for a natural bodybuilder. Other companies use fillers or might put stuff in their product that is not on the label. If I test positive for a banned substance, that’s the end of my career for the year, and maybe for life, depending on what it is. So third-party testing is a necessity.
