These easy-to-make chocolate treats will put an end to even the worst cravings. Make sure to use good quality 85–90% chocolate or be on the lookout for Afrikoa’s sugar-free chocolate, sweetened with stevia and erythritol.

COFFEE TRUFFLES

MAKES 20 small truffles

KEEP ON TRACK per serving

½ cup cream

½ tbsp quality instant coffee granules

225g 85% dark chocolate, roughly chopped

1 tbsp butter, softened

¼ cup cocoa powder, for dusting

1. In a small saucepan, bring the cream and the coffee granules to a boil, watch it carefully. Remove from the heat and strain.

2. Place the chocolate in a medium bowl and pour the warm cream over the chocolate, stir until all the chocolate is melted. Add the softened butter and mix through.

3. Allow to set in the fridge before rolling the chocolate into truffles, dust with cocoa powder just before serving.

ORANGE AND COCONUT DARK CHOCOLATE BITES

SERVES 4–6

1/3 cup coconut oil, melted

1 cup desiccated coconut

3 tbsp coconut milk

2 tbsp ground xylitol powder zest of

½ oranges 150g 85% dark chocolate, roughly chopped

1. Mix all the ingredients, except the chocolate, in a medium mixing bowl. Form into bite-sized balls and place in the fridge until set.

2. Line a baking sheet with baking paper. Place it next to the stove.
