Love - Ajay Kalra

Yet in our endeavour to get the other person to love us, we often end up hurting the other, particularly when we do not get the love in the manner that we seek it. At other times, our unconscious ego behaviour distances people and takes them further away from us.

At the start of every friendship/relationship, we experience an emotional warmth or attraction in the company of another. However for a relationship to sustain it must have the ability to go beyond the initial warmth, to be able to embrace or accept the egoistic dysfunctionalities of each other. This is a difficult process particularly if both partners are caught in the grip of the ego, which most human beings are.
