Some may find happiness in recreation, for some, it may be in the happiness of family members (when they are happy, I am happy). Some may get happiness from money, some from a vacation outing, some may derive it from parties, jewellery, meditation, children, watching movies, eating good food, being with friends, hobbies, social service, social work, etc.
Ultimately our happiness depends on external sources or environment. We are constantly on the lookout for these sources to be happy, else we are sad and unsatisfied.
