When building a home, all elements need to be considered — architecture, interior design and landscape design. A house doesn’t look complete without a landscape and a garden is best enjoyed with family. Janine Mendel of Cultivart Landscape Design has a firm belief in the consideration of an entire site as a canvas for design, suggesting that “at the end, the house should look like it was planted in the garden. A house is not finished until the garden is”. And, for this ultra-contemporary home in Western Australia, a rich green, leafy garden was exactly what was needed to complete the picture.
