Losses force RHS to relocate London shows out of city

Three of the RHS’ London flower shows are to be moved out of the capital to other RHS gardens in a move to revive their flagging fortunes. The current portfolio of five London shows only attracted 12,000 visitors in 2017, reportedly losing the charity £400,000. Although various attempts to revitalise their appeal had been tried, attendance continued to decline, leaving exhibiting nurseries out of pocket, bearing the high expense and logistical problems of staging in central London.
