My pot-grown plants are overwintered in an open barn and sprouted from the base in spring, though I do overwinter indoors the cuttings taken in late summer, just in case. Watch out for slugs and snails.Perhaps the most underrated blue bedder is blue pimpernel, and Anagallis monellii &lsquo;Skylover&rsquo; is the best variety I&rsquo;ve grown. Only frost brings down the curtain on its intense blue, purple-eyed blossom.
