Taupe-coloured containers to appear in garden centres next year
Mounting public pressure to tackle the issue of non-recyclable plastic plant pots has resulted in the launch of an industry-wide initiative. Collaboration between major plant and pot producers has seen the introduction of new taupe-coloured polypropylene containers that can be recycled and placed in kerbside refuse collections. Plants sporting the new containers should start to hit garden centres and retail outlets from late spring next year.
