A CLASSIC CHAIR AT CULT
One of the quirks of the international design industry is that, while there’s intense media interest in the latest thing, the actual pieces aren’t available to purchase for up to a year. But when the piece in question was first designed in 1947, is there really any hurry?
So it is with the cane ‘C-chair’ by Marcel Gascoin for Gubi. A hit at the Milan Furniture Fair last year, where cane made a notable come-back, it’s one of Gascoin’s most enduring designs – though its origins speak effortlessly to today.
