In our latest House to Home Beautiful series, Home Beautiful teamed up with Sydney homeowners Robyn and Jonathon as they realised a long-held dream to create a forever home for their family, which includes Jasper, 12, Matilda, 10, and Amelie, three (all pictured, left). Rather than renovate their modest bungalow, the couple enlisted building design company Hall & Hart to create a custom home with a stunning Hamptons aesthetic. The undisputed beauty of building your own home from scratch is that you can truly make it your own. We’ve spoken to the experts to help you navigate your new build from start to finish, whichever path you choose. “Just keep in mind that every build is unique and it’s often a long-term project over several years, so it’s okay to take your time,” advises Kristin Brookfield from the Housing Industry Association (HIA).
