Christmas With Class

Christmas time kitsch is good and all, but when it’s style and sophistication you’re after, it pays off to look into styles that live beyond the season.

ALPINE LODGE LUXURY

There is something inherently Christmassy about alpine lodges; consider wooden structures tucked away within an endless realm of greenery, shrouded by early morning mists and awash in the warming glow of a roaring fireplace. While the latter of those elements aren’t necessarily a local attraction, there’s still plenty of ways to dress your home to celebrate the style. With hunter green having risen to popularity as a main colour story for the home, it makes sense to work it into seasonal decor that nonetheless posesses enough longevity to carry your interiors into the new year and beyond. Pair the hues and materials with modern silhouettes; clean lines and structural neatness profer a sense of the present that is all at once elegant and luxurious.

Green it up

While Hunter green is the shade of the season, feel free to go a few tones lighter if it’s too dark for your tastes. You can even opt to work with an analogous colour palette to provide a gentle contrast in hues while maintaining that forest green serenity.

Wood

As a natural element with literal roots in forested escapes, wood makes the perfect base material with which to build a home of understated luxury. There’s little a wood-base floor won’t work with in terms of aesthetics, and the beauty of the material often lasts years and years with proper care. In furniture, as well as in various other fixtures, it is remarkably versatile.

Textures

The concept of luxury isn’t merely beholden to cold marbles and crystal; textures have taken on a new importance in the home in recent trending styles. These days, homeowners are bringing in soft furnishings that are rich in texture, while the same features have extended to surfaces and decorations alike!
