Interior designer Milind Bargal, founder, Milind Bargal Interior Designers, Indore, designs an office, for Naughty foods, that blends easy aesthetics and functionality.
While designing the office, I had one thing in mind which was that the clients need comfort and they should get it. I truly felt that the office should make them feel comfortable and they should feel at peace while working as well as be able to relax during their free time. At the same time, the location and design of the cabin should be such that they are able to monitor what is going on in the factory that is in the vicinity’, says interior designer Milind Bargal, founder, Milind Bargal Interior Designers, Indore, of the corporate office he designed for Naughty Foods. The company was established in 1997 by brothers Sanjay Agrawal, the chairman, and Vinod Agrawal, the MD, for the production of a range of confectionary. In 2017, they decided to build a new office block that would showcase the growth and success of the company while offering the staff a good working environment.
A Neat Layout
Milind was shown the site as the new building was under construction at the premises of the 1,00,000 sq.ft. Naughty Foods plant in an industrial area on Sanwer Road, Indore. The ground plus one storey structure, designed as a long rectangle with vast glass facades, had a floor space of 10,000 sq ft out of which 6,000 sq ft was to be dedicated for the office with the remaining
4000 sq ft being taken up by the packaging unit. The client required a staff area for about 25 staff members, cabins for department heads, a staff dining area, separate toilets for women and men, a laboratory, two cabins for directors, a conference room, a cabin for the managing director and another for the chairman. Given their long working hours, typically from 9 am till 9 pm, the clients were keen on a soothing and comfortable atmosphere.
