Brad Neuberg, the Coworking inventor, used the term for shared office space in San Francisco in 2005. ‘This morphed into an international grassroots movement, with more than 10,000 coworking spaces now open internationally,’ he says.

Coworking spaces have become the ideal ‘go-to’ solution for start-up companies and self-reliant professionals working alongside inalterable, shared work settings. Desks or rooms can be rented on a daily, weekly or monthly basis, with access to additional facilities like wellness studios and dining areas.
