it was not by chance that Natasha and Jeremy chose to make their home in the neighbourhood of Ivanhoe, a suburb located northeast of Melbourne city centre in Australia. ‘Jeremy grew up in the area and has many fond memories from his childhood,’ says Natasha. ‘His immediate family remains here, as do old friends, so it was an easy choice.’ While there was no hesitation in selecting the location, finding the right home took them a little time. ‘We were willing to wait until we landed on “the one”,’ say the couple, who instantly fell in love with the period features of this 1940s brick property. Two elements especially caught their attention right from the beginning: the stained-glass sash windows in the main bedroom and the staircase in the entry with its original timber balustrade.
