If you are planning a trip to the Miami area, look no further than The St. Regis Bal Harbour Resort, celebrating its 10th anniversary this year. Situated on nine acres of pristine oceanfront and designed by Sieger Suarez Architectural Partnership, the hotel in recent years has undergone a $35-million renovation by Michael Wolk Design Associates, including the hotel’s lobby and authentic Greek restaurant Atlantiko, as well as three expansive four-bedroom suites.
As you enter the impressive yet inviting lobby, you will be struck by the atrium-inspired space filled with natural light and views toward the grounds. Among the stunning artwork and sculptures, La Gourmandise awaits. A dining concept driven by award-winning pastry chef Antonio Bachour, the café offers a spot to relax with a cup of coffee or light lunch surrounded by the soothing and tasteful interiors and stunning landscape beyond.
The 216 guest rooms are equally matched in beauty and tranquility. Floor-to-ceiling windows lead to spacious balconies, furnished with lounge chairs and day beds, that overlook the vibrant blue waters of the Atlantic and the sandy white beach below. Furnishings are awash in a palette of neutral tones and organic textures, such as bleached Black Limba wood and oak herringbone wall paneling. Sea-life accents in the carpet, fabrics, and artwork echo the natural beauty of Bal Harbour.
