Three years ago, Rosie MoneyCoutts left a fast-paced job in central London to set up her own company. With her new business thriving, she finally had time and budget to tackle her large, unloved garden.
Initially, Rosie had no idea where to start. 'I had bi-fold doors fitted to the garden and suddenly had a view of a big, neglected jungle,' says Rosie. She entrusted the team at TJG Gardens with the task of taming it.
Now, the plot is a structured, well-thought-out space with areas for morning coffee and entertaining friends. It's the perfect finishing touch to Rosie's flat renovation. I've been peeking over the neighbour's fence with rose bed envy for years,' says Rosie. ‘Now I can be proud of my own!'
FEATURE TREE
Recycled whelk shells hide the soil and light up the ground underneath the Acer palmatum at the back of the garden, which provides interest long after the flowers have stopped blooming.
