Recently married and fond of hosting their friends and family, Shujing and her husband embarked on their home renovation with some clear priorities. They wanted plenty of space to accommodate their guests and lots of room for entertainment devices, including a PlayStation console, a Powerhouse karaoke machine and even a billiard table.
“Opening up the space was a big priority,” shares Shujing. “We wanted to be able to host guests and both of us liked the studio-living vibe. We often get told that our house is not future-proof as there is nowhere to accommodate our kids. However, we live in the now, and we don’t feel we need to compromise our current lifestyle for something that will happen years down the line. Plus, we know this is not our forever home.”
