When it comes to envisioning your dream home, following interior trends seems to be the tried-and-true route for many homeowners. However, these newlyweds desired something less cookie-cutter for their brand new unit. “They did not hanker after the usual hot favourites like Scandinavian or industrial styles, which was a refreshing change to us,” says the Versaform design team who took up their renovation. Instead, the married couple gravitated towards a darker colour palette and a boho-chic mix of materials which might sound like an odd pairing to many.
Rising to the occasion, the Versaform designers effortlessly made sense of these two mismatched elements with their expert eye in style pairing. They introduced a soothing sense of sophistication which is immediately prominent from the front entrance. A monochromatic blend of colours has been masterfully aligned with lightly weathered wood textures for a truly striking material palette. This can be seen in the living room, which took on a statement-making deep and dark tint of blue. Rather than close the space in, this midnight hue is well-paired with the rich wood textures of the vinyl flooring and laminate coverings, creating a comfortable and chic atmosphere in this area.
