This French lavender bears cerise-crimson flowers and long pink ‘ears’. Not fully hardy. Deadhead often. Height 45cm.
2 L. ‘BALLERINA’ AGM
A flighty French lavender, which has purple heads below cream ‘ears’ that age to pink and purple. Grow in a pot as a talking point. Frost hardy. Deadhead regularly. H 60cm.
3 L. X INTERMEDIA ‘GROSSO’
Has one of the strongest fragrances amongst lavenders and is grown commercially for the oil content in the deep purpleflowers. The floriferous and long stems are ideal as hedging. Hardy. H 75cm.
4 L. ANGUSTIFOLIA ‘BLUE ICE‘
Bears spikes of pretty pale, blue-white flowers from mid to late summer, which contrast with darker varieties in borders. Hardy. H 60cm.
5 L. ANGUSTIFOLIA ‘NANA ALBA’ AGM
A hardy dwarf with a neat and tidy habit, with profuse white flowers just above light-green foliage. H 40cm.
