Nimesh Chandan is Head – Investments Equity at Canara Robeco Asset Management, a joint venture between Canara Bank, India and Robeco Group, Netherlands which is now a part of ORI Corporation, Japan.

Nimesh has more than 18 years of experience in the Indian capital markets during which he has worked in various research and fund management assignments with Indian capital market players. He has previously worked with Strategic Capital Corp., Birla Sunlife Asset Management and SBI Asset Management. His last assignment was with ICICI Prudential Asset Management in the capacity of Sr.Portfolio Manager

Nimesh completed his Masters in Management Studies in the year 2000 with specialization in Finance. He was voted among the top 20 Indian analysts in Technology and Pharmaceutical for two consecutive years, 2004 and 2005 by Asiamoney.

Nimesh managed the ICICI Prudential Technology Fund, which won the ICRA award in 2006 for best performance in a 1-year period for a sector fund. In 2007, he received the ICICI Group leadership award for “Leadership in Organisation Capability”.

Nimesh joined Canara Robeco Asset Management in July 2008 shortly after the formation of JV and has been instrumental in designing the investment philosophy and process for the company. Since then was managing five equity X

funds including two diversified equity portfolios, two hybrids portfolios and one index tracker. Nimesh managed the flagship Indian equity funds of the company – Canara Robeco Equity Diversified and Canara Robeco Emerging Equities Fund till July 2010.
