This ‘holistic development approach of the government is visible in each of it’s strategy and announcement for building an AtmaNirbhar Bharat in every sense: creating an environment to do business, bringing-in investment, inviting global corporates to setup units, developing infrastructure, investing in raising standard of living (by allocating budget for Swachh and Swasth Bharat etc).
ATMA NIRBHAR BHARAT
• To take ahead the Atmanirbhar Bharat Mission estimated by RBI at Rs 27.1 lakh crore, amounting to 30 percent of GDP.
• 6 Pillars identified for Atmanirbhar Bharat: Health & Well-Being, Inclusive Development, Human Capital, Innovation And R&D.
HEALTH SECTOR
• The government has announced a new central healthcare scheme The Pradhan Mantri Atma Nirbhar Swasthya Bharat Yojana, which will operate in addition to the existing National Health Mission, has been allocated around Rs 64,180 crore.
• PM Aatmanirbhar Swastha Bharat to be launched with an outlay of 64,180 Cr over 6 years.
• And will mainly focus on reduction of single-use plastic, air pollution and segregation of waste.
• Government to launch Mission Poshan 2.0; also, Jal Jeevan Mission Urban will be launched.
• The Urban Swachh Bharat scheme will be implemented with an outlay of over Rs 1.4 lakh crore.
