YOU CAN TELL A MAN by the company he keeps, so they say. In the same vein, we propose that you can do the same by looking into his bag. After all, packing is usually the last thing you do before you step out of the house. In those 10 minutes, you have to decide what is most valuable to you before putting it into your bag. Even your choice of bag is important for the day ahead, and for entrepeneurs and A-Listers Ryan Pang and Jimmy Poh, they prefer their backpacks to be minimalist, practical and built for the outdoors, which is why they chose from Tumi’s Tahoe range.

We chat with the two about their businesses before rummaging into their Tumi backpacks to find out what keeps them functioning on a daily basis.

What’s in your backpack?

I usually pack my gym gear because fitness and Crossfit are a big part of my life. I also carry my toiletries, including facial and hair products, to keep fresh after my workouts. There’re my Airpods and my Huskee coffee cup for my caffeine runs too.

Occasionally, I bring along the books that I’m reading. The Bell & Ross watch you see was given to me by my father after the birth of my first child. It’s not much but it means a lot to me.
