When you produce something that quickly attains widespread popularity, you naturally try to build on that success.
Sturm, Ruger & Company unveiled its American polymer service pistol a little more than a year ago and it was an instant hit. Now, the company has added compact models to the mix – one with and one without a manual safety.
Also added were manual safety models of the larger Americans pistols in 9mm and .45ACP to go with the Pro models in those calibers that do not have manual safeties.
