Go Down To The Woods Today

Avoid the hot busy beaches this month and head inland for a refreshing woodland wander

Tehidy Country Park is a favourite walking spot in Cornwall, but most flock to the well-known North Cliffs or South Drive entrance. There is another set of woods to the West known as Oak Woods which can make a quiet and peaceful walk with a main path and little slip-offs to explore.

There is no official car park at the West entrance; however you can park at the side of the road on the B3301 in Coombe at the entrance to the West Drive. You will need to be respectful here as there are several houses that you pass in order to access the path. Once you are into the woods, the large, flat path is cut through the middle, meaning you are flanked by woods on either side by sloping woodland.
