We travelled around the nation to find the next Robyn Lawley. It was no easy task, but here are your Cosmo Curve finalists…
VIVIENNE PALMA, 29 Melbourne winner
How did you hear about the competition?
My sister tagged me in the Facebook post, and literally the day before I was like, ‘Yes, I’m doing it!’
Have you modelled before?
I used to, but I struggled with my weight a lot. Even when I was underweight, people would say that I wasn’t thin enough, so it’s been difficult trying to fit the right mould. I think as time has gone on, I feel happier in my skin – I don’t mind showing it off anymore as opposed to before where I would hide my curves.
Did you have a lightbulb moment, where something clicked and you started to accept your body?
It’s been a bit of a process and taken years. Playing sport helped, and I’m also so lucky with my partner because he loves me for who I am. He’s had a lot to do with my confidence – he loves my curves!
What would it mean for you to win Cosmo Curve?
Everything! On the plane [to the Cosmo shoot], I started crying because this has been my dream forever. I want to be that person that inspires others to just be happy within themselves.
SARAH BOLT, 21 Sydney winner
How did it feel to win the competition in Sydney?
I was so happy – it felt so surreal at the time, especially being with Robyn Lawley, who is so nice and even more beautiful in person.
Have you always dreamt of being a model?
Yes, but I always thought, I’m too big and I’m too tall. Robyn was my first inspiration. I saw a newspaper article about her that my mum showed to me and said, ‘Look, it’s a Curve model,’ and I was like, ‘What’s a Curve model?’ but I thought, Oh, I could do that!
