Looking to print a family portrait or create a photo montage for your home? The guys at Brilliant Prints can do just that and more. We sat down with Aussie expat DYLAN VO, managing director of its Singapore operation, and found out how it all began and their future plans.
You and your business partner Liam have known each other for a long time. What inspired you to set up Brilliant Prints?
We’ve been close friends since primary school in Australia; we did everything together. The decision to set up Brilliant Prints in Singapore came after a drunken dare at our annual group Australia Day barbecue in 2008. I would say it was a “calculated risk”. It was a combination of me helping out at the Brilliant Prints headquarters in Australia, which Liam currently runs, and watching it successfully grow. I was also bored of my banking job at the time and there was a soft lead of an opportunity in Singapore. The rest is history.
