If you’re not popping out of Singapore for the summer, here are a variety of holiday camps that will keep your little ones occupied. These camps bring learning outside of the classroom with loads of hands-on experiences, from science experiments to robotics, art, cooking and sports. There are loads of choices for different interests and ages.

Newtonshow Space Odyssey, Science Discovery & Harry Potter Camps

Focus: Science

Ages: 3 to 12 years

Duration: 30 May to 26 August, Monday to Friday, 9am to 4pm; daily participation is available at a pro-rated cost

Cost: $80 per day

Location: 9 Mohamed Sultan Road; 221 River Valley Road; 229 Joo Chiat Road; 887A Bukit Timah Road; 175B Thompson Road

Newtonshow is holding its three most popular camps that bring all things science to kids. The Space Odyssey camp combines the mysteries of space with the unpredictability of science to engage young minds. For a more hands-on experience, the Science Discovery camp brings on exciting fizzes and bangs as kids get the chance to carry out experiments. Lastly, campers learn about alchemy, divination, astronomy and how animals communicate in the Harry Potter camp. Campers can also look forward to making potions, a magic wand workshop and playing Quidditch.

All campers receive two snacks and a healthy lunch each day, with options for halal, vegetarian, gluten-free and other menus available on request. Daily photos and videos from camp will be sent to parents. At the end of the week, all kids receive a colour t-shirt based on the level achieved, awards for completed activities, a certificate of completion and a goodie bag.
