A TV network in Mizoram is winning viewers over by airing matches during primetime.
If you have ever spent some time in the Northeast, you would have noticed that, a couple of hours before sunset, most school grounds or fields or even empty plots of land become venues for friendly football (sometimes cricket) matches between local boys and girls with scores of adults cheering them on from a distance. This love for sports doesn’t only limit itself to football or cricket, people also show up in huge numbers to watch different kinds of sporting events held across the region. One TV network brave enough to take this interest to the next level is Zonet Cable TV Pvt Ltd in Mizoram. Established in 2004 by three eminent Mizo journalists namely K Sapdanga, Vanneihtluanga and R K Lianzual, Zonet was bold enough to air matches during primetime; a move that stumped their competition and pleasantly surprised their audience.

Arunachal, to that extent, is the most nationalistic state in the country, I daresay. It has been kind of a revelation for me to experience the freedom of being a common man in an environment of positivity!
