Two main things required to make the connection are a dongle and a smartphone. Once ready, the optional dongle can be plugged into the on-board diagnostic port of the vehicle. In Volkswagen Tiguan’s case, this device is placed right below the steering wheel. In order to log on, one first needs to download this app onto the i-phone from apple store. Once done open the app on your phone and feed in the ten-digit number pasted on the dongle. With that fed in we are ready to use the app.
