Happiness Is the Most Important Thing in the World - Guess What?! It’s Absolutely Free.
Sajid-Wajid, the talented composer duos are at the top of their game in the industry. They are famous for their berserk melodies and superhit tracks. They have come a really long way and have worked for Bollywood’s biggest films. They have poured in their melodies in blockbuster films like Dabangg, Wanted, Ek Tha Tiger, Partner, Veer and more. Not only that, the duo have also composed title track for television reality shows Big Boss 4 and Big Boss 6. There are many more feathers in their cap and we all are well acquainted with that. In an earnest interview with Harsha Prerna, the composer brothers Sajid-Wajid spoke about the current music scene, upcoming projects along with a lot of tech trivia, obviously.
ex: What is your style of music?
SAJID - The music we design and compose depends totally upon the script of the movie, i.e. if the theme of the movie is based on a particular place we conceptualise the music around the culture of that place. Talking about the personal preferences of music, my style is more of fusion as I love composing a combination of different types of music, sounds, tones and cultures. However, Wajid prefers soft melodies, country style and sufi organic.
ex: Your thoughts on social media, music promotion, and Digital streaming.
We both agree that in today’s time social media plays an important role in the entertainment industry. It is very important for an artist to know how to promote themselves and their work. It also helps the audience understand the music of any feature film if the music is good or not by watching the 1st teaser or song. It is a great way of interacting with the audience and listeners & also helps us to understand, what the audience would like to listen to.
