The rock star-studded band,&nbsp;Kontra, made up of members coming from different iconic bands such as Wolfgang and The Blue Jean Junkies, has just come out with its first album called&nbsp;Ibang&nbsp;Planeta, and it&rsquo;s safe to say that this isn&rsquo;t just like any other album by a newly formed band. While younger bands might have arguably &ldquo;fresher&rdquo; sounding songs,&nbsp;Kontra, while still experimenting with the songs they want to produce, has undoubtedly developed its own distinct sound. A heavy atmosphere persists throughout the album that is reminiscent of grunge and post-grunge rock you&rsquo;d hear from foreign bands like Pearl Jam,&nbsp;Soundgarden, and Alice in Chains, especially when listening to their songs that are written in English like &ldquo;Feel So&rdquo; and &ldquo;Return.&rdquo;<img src="http://magarticles.magzter.com/articles/9529/215928/58f75c76efbe6/1492606104_loc.jpg"" owidth=363 oheight=760" style="height:700px; width:334px" />Their Filipino songs however have a different feel to them but are able to still somehow retain the album&rsquo;s general hard and heavy personality. Songs like their brand new single &ldquo;Planeta,&rdquo; are a lot more playful in both their lyrics and melodies. &ldquo;Planeta&rdquo; in particular even has a cool lyric video that&rsquo;ll make you want to take out your Family Computers again.
