GOLF FOR 23-YEAR-OLD IRFAN YUSOFF IS AN ADDICTION. HIS HARD WORK IS PAYING OFF ON TOUR.
ON YOUR START IN THE GAME
It all started when I was eight at the Cinta Sayang Resort driving range. My brother Iqbal was an instructor with the Mizuno Golf Academy. When I was 10, dad got me a Maruman ladies set.
ON YOUR PASSION FOR THE GAME
It is almost like a drug... like you don’t feel at ease until you are on the golf course. It is a great stress reliever. It also relates to living near a golf course. I used to walk to the Darulaman Golf & Country Club in Jitra, Kedah, which is only about 300 metres or really a par-5 away
ON DISLIKES
It would have to be playing in the rain. You have to change to your rain jacket, bring out the umbrella and you can’t play as freely and as fast as you like. It can be very tiring.
ON UNFORGETTABLE MOMENTS
My victory at the Impian Golf & Country Club in 2015. I had no real expectations at the start of the final round as I was 5-under the leaders, Ben Leong and Sivachandran, who were at 10-under.

What's Next For Carson Palmer?
Carson Palmer is an old football player in the prime of his golf life. The 2002 Heisman Trophy winner, now 37, recently took a month to decide if his body could survive another NFL season at quarterback. The answer, to the relief of Arizona Cardinals fans, was yes, and so Palmer’s dream of playing golf every day will wait a little longer. “Some guys wonder if they’ll get bored with golf in retirement, but I don’t envision ever having that problem,” says Palmer, who is “always up for 36 in a heartbeat” when being a dad to two young kids allows it.
