Mad Scientists and kindred spirits Sabyasachi Mukherjee and Christian Laboutin bring Paris and Kolkata another step closer with their second collaboration.
The first time Christian Louboutin stumbled upon Sabyasachi’s store in Mumbai, it was by chance. The fact that Sabyasachi was there that day too was fate. When the two met, creative sparks flowed all over and before they knew it, they were committed to a collaboration, which, dare we say, sounds a bit like destiny. “We didn’t think of contracts or lawyers at the time. We’d already started planning the collection,” tells us Louboutin, the man behind the most covetable pair of red-soled shoes. As soon as they finished their first capsule collaboration last year, they started working on a second one. This time the stakes were higher and we’re happy to report – as expected, they blew our minds!
