The House of Chanel has always been associated with pushing boundaries, from Gabrielle Chanel’s revolutionary approach to fashion to the bold use of colours that led to wait list-worthy nail polishes. No wonder Lucia Pica, Global Creative Makeup and Colour Designer of Chanel, feels right at home. Since her appointment, Pica has been shaking things up by reshaping the way women approach makeup. With a strong editorial background, Pica is used to creating visually-arresting images using the most intense pigments and dramatic textures. But at Chanel, her task mode is quite different: In a time when the proliferation of products, information and technology have resulted in seemingly unattainable standards of perfection, Pica is like a breath of fresh air. Using her background, expert knowledge and innate understanding of what women want, she is making luxury makeup as accessible as possible, through multi-tasking, easy-to-use products that encourage freedom of application. It’s been more than three years since you first Chanel. What’s it been like so far?

At the beginning, it was a long time of incubation but o collection was released, the amazing response gave m f th h was doing. And I’ve had a lot of support from Chanel, so I’m really happy.
