When we talk about being earth-friendly, most of us immediately think of recycling and eliminating the use of plastic products. While these two are significant steps we can take, there more ways for us to be green – such as choosing environmentally conscious beauty products.
LEADING THE WAY IN GREEN BEAUTY
Being one of the green-beauty pioneers in the cosmetics industry, Natura, a Brazilian beauty brand, is a fine example of how a beauty brand can have an environmentally sustainable business practice. Since the early 2000s, Natura has made sure that their products keep the environment safe, clean and well-preserved. For instance, the company provides refill packets and tubs for their skincare range, which makes the retail price 10 to 20 per cent cheaper. According to Natura, this initiative also helps reduce waste impact by five per cent. With this, it hopes to encourage consumers to be more aware of the importance of reducing global production of waste.
