“Male infertility accounts for nearly 50% of my patients. The problem could be anything from low sperm count, to low motility of sperms and abnormal sperms. Sometimes, the problem could be hormonal or genital infections or ejaculatory dysfunction,” explains Dr Palshetkar.
Although a majority of people, especially in India, still think of fertility as a woman’s problem, a huge number of cases of infertility actually involve problems with the male partner. So it’s important that men too get tested for fertility along with women.
