We’ve all watched her on television tackling rather funny and awkward family problems on Sumit Sambhal Lega, but off screen, Manasi Parekh-Gohil is definitely a force to be reckoned with. From her singing and acting career to her super-fun social media posts, yoga videos and even cooking escapades, she’s one supermom to keep an eye on. In an exclusive interview with M&B, she tells us all about how her life took an exciting new turn after the birth of her baby girl, Nirvi
Manasi Parekh is no stranger to hard work. A trained classical musician since she was four, Manasi has tasted success at an early age. “I’ve been performing my whole life. I’m a Visharat in classical music and began performing on stage at the age of 10. By the time I was 15, I had already finished over a hundred shows. I even got a break in television when I was in college, after I auditioned for Ekta Kapoor’s fiction show for MTV where I thought I’d get a chance to perform the title song; I got a part instead. So I’ve always been very busy from a very young age because I can’t sit and do nothing,” she says.
While having a baby was something she had always wanted, being young gave her the chance to make a name for herself and work her way up the ladder. However, soon she realised that there was something missing in this happy universe she created with her husband, Parthiv Gohil, a renowned musician and playback singer. “Parthiv and I were both very busy pursuing our own careers but there was a point where we both said it was time to start a family.” Here’s how that conversation played out...
Did you and Parthiv talk about it before planning your pregnancy?
