Carmen Ang and Kimberly Anne Tan on joining Power 98FM, crossing paths in school, and becoming gal pals off the air.
How has it been since joining Power 98? Kim (below, right):
It is such a special place. We’ve got loyal listeners, the freedom to express ourselves creatively, and a team of welcoming jocks. To be honest, I was nervous about joining the Power Breakfast Show. JK [Jerald Ko] and Mike [Michael Tan] have been a team for ages. I was excited, but worried that I wouldn’t fit in.
Thankfully, Mike is a complete sweetheart. And JK is all about tough love and honest, un-sugarcoated advice.
Carmen: It has been an absolute joy! Getting to know the rest of the crew, discovering that they’re even more inspiring and amazing in person. Everyone in the office is very supportive, and it makes me realise that a great working environment at a radio station does wonders.
