A BREATHTA KING ADVENTURE

For many, carrying a 4kg oxygen tank across Australia, simply to breathe, would be a burden too heavy to carry.

But for cystic fibrosis sufferer, Jackie Fraser, this was her reality when she and husband, Aidan, packed their bags for a nine-month long honeymoon.

Jackie relied on a portable oxygen concentrator to breathe while the couple soulsearched across Western Australia. The trip came before the difficult decision on whether Jackie should proceed with a double lung transplant.

They explored Broome, hiked in the Karijini National Park and even swam with whale sharks – all while living in a camper trailer.

Now, Jackie is three months post-op and can’t wait to take her new lungs on all-new adventures. What’s more, she’s encouraging others to register to become organ donors.
