She’s already making history as the first royal female to retain her position in succession to the throne, but Princess Charlotte, who turns three this week, is also making her mark as a star.

The cherubic tot sent the public into meltdown when she visited her new baby brother in hospital last week. Looking like the ever-perfect princess, Charlotte wowed the crowds with her adorable outfit, beaming smile and graceful royal wave – which she did not once, but twice.

Social media went into a frenzy as they described the royal tot ‘as the cutest thing ever’. Another claimed she ‘stole the show’ and her wave ‘melted her heart’. One claimed that she was ‘their favourite thing on the internet’, while another went as far to say she could be the ‘next Diana’.
