Royal protocol has driven a wedge between the once tight- knit sisters.

Princess Beatrice and her baby sister Princess Eugenie have always appeared to have an unshakeable sisterly bond. But recent reports suggest that the once united siblings are at war – and it all comes down to a matter of royal protocol.

According to a royal insider, Beatrice and Eugenie are feuding over the announcement of their respective marriage and baby plans.

After tying the knot with Jack Brooksbank in 2018, it’s believed that Princess Eugenie, 29, will soon announce her pregnancy.

Meanwhile, Princess Beatrice is also said to be sitting on some very exciting personal news, with the 31-year-old reportedly engaged to her beau, Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi.

But there’s just one problem: royal protocol.

According to royal expert Phil Dampier, the royals always make a habit of coordinating announcements about weddings or babies in order not to steal each other’s thunder.

Because a pregnancy is time sensitive, Princess Eugenie’s baby news would take precedence over Princess Beatrice’s engagement announcement.

“If Eugenie is pregnant it wouldn’t surprise me if Beatrice delays any announcement about her wedding until after her sister has shared her joyous news with the world,” Phil explained.
