It might sound a bit silly, but it turns out ‘adult play’ could be a real driver in combating stress, burn out and poor mental health.

According to the LEGO Play Well Study 2020, play helps eight in 10 adults relax.

“Sometimes as adults, we need to give ourselves permission to play, to laugh, to connect or just take a break,” says Sean Hall, mental health advocate and CEO of productivity and mental wellbeing consultancy service, Energx (energx.com.au).

“Neuroscience and positive psychology research show that practices that help you slow down, let go of tension and give your brain a break are so important to reducing your vulnerability to stress, burn out or worse.”
