THE AXED TV HOST IS PLANNING HER NEXT MOVE

The axe has fallen on Kerri-Anne Kennerley, with the TV queen last week dumped from Network Ten amid brutal budget cuts. And the 66-year-old presenter is said to be furious with one former colleague in particular – The Project’s Lisa Wilkinson!

Ten last week announced a massive restructuring of its news divisions, turfing Studio 10’s Kerri-Anne and Natarsha Belling, while Joe Hildebrand is in talks about his future.

Ten has flagged there will be more cuts at Studio 10. Iconic weatherman, Tim Bailey, who’d been at Ten for more than 30 years, was also given the flick.

Kerri-Anne is a survivor and insiders say she is eyeing off a possible gig at Foxtel’s Sky News. While others suggest the TV veteran will return to her former employer, the Nine Network.

Interestingly, The Project’s stable of highly paid stars – including Carrie Bickmore, Waleed Aly, Peter Helliar and The Sunday Project’s Lisa – were all spared the axe.

“KAK would not be happy The Project has been left alone,” an industry source tells New Idea.
