Following the news of his return to the Today desk, Karl Stefanovic, 44, has yet another exciting announcement, as sources exclusively reveal to New Idea that he’s expecting his first child with wife Jasmine, 34.

According to the insider, the couple have been keeping the baby news under wraps, as they wanted it to coincide with his comeback!

“An announcement on Karl and Jasmine’s much-anticipated first child is very much imminent and expected in the coming weeks,” the source spills. “The timing is not yet right for them to go public, but such a reveal is getting closer by the day.

“Karl and Jasmine are bursting with excitement!”

The source says Karl and Jasmine travelled to Queensland recently to share the news with her grandmother, Isabel Hollingworth.

“It cannot be overstated how overjoyed she was to learn of the news. She was delighted and so very proud,” the source added.

“Jasmine has always been very close to Isabel and wanted nothing more than to have her alive to meet her first bub.”
