They were once best friends, two A-list women married to the world’s two biggest rap stars and taking Hollywood by storm. But the tables have turned for Kim Kardashian and Beyonce, with the pair locked in a bitter war of words.

The feud reached fever pitch last week when reality star Kim was accused of ‘stealing Beyonce’s limelight’ by announcing her plans to hire a surrogate to have her third baby – just days after Beyonce and her husband Jay Z welcomed their twins.

Kim’s big baby announcement coincided with the release of her new make-up line, which sold out in seconds, only adding to the tension between her and former best friend Beyonce.

‘Kim couldn’t believe the hype that Beyonce’s twins pregnancy announcement caused back in February,’ says a source close to the former friends.

‘Beyonce got 11 million likes – which is something Kim hasn’t achieved for a very long time. Beyonce knew it would upset Kim, which is why she made such a big production out of the announcement – she wanted to beat Kim on social media, plain and simple.
